Camera360 Updated; Bags the Spot for the #2 Best Startup

Camera360 is one of my favourite Windows Phone apps available right now. Its not only the best camera app for your Windows Phone but is also beautiful, elegant and simple made all into one. The past 7 days were fruitful both for the team behind Camera360 and us -- the users.

The first big news is that it got recognized globally after being invited to participate in the Fortune Global Forum 2013 -- a rare achievement for a startup and it bagged the second spot for the best startups of this year. Truly, this a remarkable achievement for a startup like Camera360 but from all the angles, this was a well deserved prize. Congratulations to the team and I hope they will continue to make impacts across platforms with more apps and much more improvements to Camera360.

The second thing is an update (V 1.0) to the existing Camera360 app for Windows Phones which brings a lot of new features like cropping and more editing options. The update was bumped recently and I got it into my phone.

I got a memorable greeting on opening the app and the slideshow was pretty good and the music accompanying was momentous. The first extra you'd notice is the ability to manually focus. A button on the right allows you to toggle between the two modes and you can adjust the focus by dragging across the slider. Frame settings allows you to customize the frames you can access using the frame button. A maximum of upto 6 frames can be chosen at once.

Editing mode has two new options. Now, you can crop and rotate images on your wish. The frames option is now present inside the photo editing menu so that you can change or add frames even after taking a photo. Also, you can now take a photo with a tap on the screen with the new update. This can be disabled from the settings panel.

In a nutshell, the new update adds more beauty to the existing Camera360 app and brings it one level ahead of the rest. If you're tired of using the native camera app or are looking for a nice photo editor without much complexity, Camera360 is worth the try.
